Garden Girl designs, manufactures and sells functional gardening clothes, tools and shoes specially designed for women. Founded in 1997 by Petra Maison and based in Åtvidaberg, Sweden, the company sells through its own web store and through other retailers, both physical and online. Garden Girl has been growing profitably since inception and generated SEK 10.5m in sales in 2015. The company raised SEK6m in funding from private investors. It intends to use the funds to expand marketing efforts in Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United States. The product line includes clothing, tools and shoes tailored to women gardeners.
