Garment IO offers a plug-and-play garment manufacturing management solution that combines hardware and software to give factory managers a complete overview of production processes, worker performance, and production cost calculation. Data from its smart terminals is accessible in real time online. The Cairo-based startup was founded in 2017 by Mahmoud Saba and Ahmed Nounou. It currently has over 2,000 smart terminals installed in factories in Egypt. Garment IO is a graduate of the Egyptian government’s Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) incubation programme and participated in 500 Startups’ MENA Dojo Series A programme. The company plans to expand its product within Egypt and move into Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, and Turkey.
