Garrison provides ultra-secure web browsing technology that isolates web content from end-user devices using its patented Garrison SAVI® hardware. Its approach creates an electronic-level gap so malicious web content never contacts users' IT systems, moving beyond threat-detection models. The technology was first adopted by government and military customers and is now being adopted by mainstream commercial organisations across banking, insurance, media, telecoms and legal sectors. The company has grown rapidly, nearly doubling headcount in the past 12 months to more than 50 staff and has expanded operations to the US. Garrison plans to use new funding to expand sales and marketing, grow its engineering team, and enhance its ‘safe web browsing as a service’ cloud offering. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the UK, the business is backed by London-based venture investors. Garrison Technology develops an anti-malware product designed to block the highest-impact cyber threats and provide an ultra-secure level of internet connectivity for organisations. The company is London-based and operates in a cybersecurity market the article estimates at $23 billion. Garrison says the new funding will accelerate product development and commercialisation and support continued team growth. The firm has existing angel backers and strategic investors who have participated in prior financings. Touchstone Innovations first invested in Garrison in 2015 and increased its stake with this round. Following the new investment Touchstone holds a 22.5 percent stake in the company.
