Gazillion Entertainment is a San Mateo, California–based developer, publisher and operator of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games. Its NetDevil studio recently released LEGO Universe, an MMO based on the LEGO brand, published by the LEGO Group and released in North America and Europe. The company said it will launch Super Hero Squad Online in the first quarter of 2011 under a ten-year exclusive worldwide license agreement with Marvel Entertainment. Gazillion operates development studios in California, Colorado and Washington. Founder and CEO Rob Hutter said Temasek’s investment comes as the company enters a key phase of expansion. The company received a $60M investment led by Singapore’s Temasek Holdings, which joins its existing backers.
