Overview
Geeq is building a proprietary Proof of Honesty (PoH) consensus mechanism and a layer-zero, multi-blockchain architecture. The protocol claims to achieve consensus by checking for lack of dissent and requires only one honest validator to confirm transactions. According to the company’s patent filing, the design yields 99% Byzantine fault tolerance and uses dynamic federated channels to scale by opening or merging instances as load changes. Geeq favors a suite of in-protocol applications rather than smart contracts to simplify common transactions and improve user experience. The company will soft launch features and fix bugs en route to launching as a public chain rather than releasing a beta. In August, GEM Capital committed $25 million to support Geeq’s development and push toward enterprise and consumer Web3 adoption. The U.S. approved patents for Geeq’s protocol architecture, communication systems, and validation mechanisms, formalizing aspects of its security and scalability approach.
