Overview
Gen.G is a global esports company that owns and operates professional teams across multiple major titles, including Overwatch, League of Legends, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Clash Royale, Fortnite, Call of Duty and APEX Legends. Founded in 2017 by Executive Chairman Kevin Chou, it is led by CEO Chris Park and Chief Operating Officer Arnold Hur. The company said it will use new capital to expand its global presence, develop a youth esports academy program and open a Los Angeles headquarters in July 2019. Gen.G is the parent company for Seoul’s Overwatch League team, Seoul Dynasty, and has acquired or founded a total of eight professional teams. It has signed sponsorship deals with Samsung Electronics (Samsung SSD), Razer, NETGEAR, SIDIZ and DESKER. The company maintains offices in South Korea, the United States and China and has added high-profile supporters and advisors to support its creative and commercial efforts.
