Overview
GenCell Energy (TASE: GNCL) is an Israeli manufacturer of fuel-cell energy solutions that deliver affordable, clean backup and primary power by producing hydrogen-on-demand from anhydrous ammonia. Its products target diesel-replacement backup power for utilities, homeland security, healthcare, automated industries, off-grid and poor-grid rural electrification. The company highlights a revolutionary ammonia-to-hydrogen process, proprietary IP and more than 90 employees with a worldwide distribution and support network. In early 2021 it announced closer cooperation with TDK to develop green ammonia and has positioned that work as a key part of its roadmap. GenCell is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and completed an institutional equity investment in April 2021. The recent funding is intended to accelerate technology time-to-market, expand international cooperation and reinforce its positioning in target markets.
