GeniPhys has developed Collymer, a highly‑purified form of collagen designed to restore tissue continuity and support new tissue formation via stable, fibrillar collagen scaffolds. The material is highly customizable and the company says it can address unmet needs across wound management, surgical reconstruction, orthopedics, cardiovascular, ENT, and therapeutic cell and drug delivery. GeniPhys plans to use the Series A funding to bring its initial product to market and to invest in manufacturing and regulatory capabilities. The company also intends to expand its team and is finalizing plans for a new space in Indianapolis. GeniPhys currently has four employees and plans to add up to 45 employees over the next three years.
