Geocorail develops and commercializes an eco-friendly electrochemical process that creates a natural stone, Geocorail®, in situ from minerals present at the site. The produced material exhibits mechanical resistance, blends into its surroundings and can sequester some of the carbon present in the oceans. The company applies this technology to mitigate shore erosion and protect maritime coastal works and offshore structures. Geocorail intends to use new funding to speed technical and commercial development of its process, reinforce operational teams, engage in R&D programs, increase the number of experimentation sites and develop applications complementary to existing engineering practices. Financially, the company raised €2m in a capital increase entirely subscribed by Truffle Capital. Following the financing, Geocorail appointed Dominique Michel as Chairman and Philippe Andreani as General Manager.
