Gramble World operates a mobile social gaming and entertainment network that lets gamers nominate charities to receive a share of in-game payments and ad views. The company offers SDKs for developers (Android and Adobe AIR live; Unity and iOS planned) and has more than 2,000 games signed up, roughly 650–700 active apps, and 10,000–15,000 downloads per week. Since launch it has accrued over 22 million unique users and reports more than four million monthly active users across its network. Gramble has generated revenue and has produced in the region of €20,000 in charitable donations so far. The team of around 30 staff plans to invest new funds in technology, sales, marketing and user/developer retention, and intends to open a San Francisco office in September. Gramble is a The Hague, The Netherlands–based developer of a charity-driven, cross-platform mobile social-gaming network called iGramble. The product offers progressive social gaming with friend challenges, cross-game chat, shared achievements, live social-feed integration, and server-synced progress across smartphones, tablets, PCs and internet-enabled TVs. A portion of all revenues from player ad clicks, purchases, and partner activity will go to charities. Led by founder Adam Palmer and part of Gramble World BV, the company planned a beta launch on December 20, 2012, with downloadable apps to follow in the App Store and Google Play. Gramble raised $2.7M in its fourth seed round to continue development of its network and said it would seek further investors in 2013. The company has strategic backing from charity-lottery operator Novamedia and two other strategic investors.
