GFCL EV manufactures integrated battery materials with backward integration into key raw materials and operates a facility in Jolva, Gujarat. Its product portfolio for the EV and energy storage sectors includes battery chemicals such as electrolyte salt LiPF6, electrolyte formulations and additives, cathode active materials (LFP), and binders including PVDF and PTFE. The company is a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited and has been expanding manufacturing capacity in India. GFCL EV has raised approximately USD 130 million in capital (USD 80 million newly announced plus about USD 50 million from IFC) to scale up manufacturing. Management says the funding will support scaling production, job creation, participation in supply chains, and initiatives tied to energy security and transport electrification. The company plans to expand its presence across the battery materials value chain in India and use the capital to support clean-technology adoption and emission reduction efforts.
