Gi Bike builds an all-in-one, full-size electric folding bicycle that folds in one motion and offers up to 40 miles of range. The bike includes front and rear smart LED lights, smartphone integration (GPS, Google Maps), Bluetooth pairing, an integrated USB port, and an automatic anti-theft locking/share feature. The team has a fully built and tested prototype validated on Kickstarter and received press attention from over 200 media outlets. The company is led by three Argentinian co-founders: CEO Lucas Toledo, CTO Agustin Augustinoy, and co-founder/CFO Eric Sevillia. Gi Bike plans to use new funding to finish tooling the prototype, advance software development, and hire an additional two to four employees. It aims to have a finished product by July or August and is targeting markets in Europe and Asia, with future plans for additional apps and accessories.
