Giftiki enables friends to send small amounts of money that recipients can join into a pooled fund to purchase desired items rather than receiving unwanted, low‑value gifts. The product draws on payment mechanics similar to Venmo and WePay and uses social ties and game mechanics to encourage contributions. Use cases extend beyond birthdays to holidays, graduations, weddings, baby showers and fundraising. Giftiki graduated from the Brandery accelerator and recently moved from Cincinnati to San Francisco. The company is developing iOS and Android apps and plans to launch an alpha in the next couple of months. It will use new funding to hire additional engineers and further product development.
