Giggling Squid operates 13 restaurants across the South of England serving fresh Thai cuisine at lunch and dinner and offering takeaway services. The business is run by Andy and Pranee Laurillard and opened its first site in Hove before expanding to multiple towns and cities across the region. It employs around 300 staff across its thirteen sites and is expected to generate revenue in excess of £12m this year. New restaurants in Bury St Edmunds, Berkhamsted, Warwick and Esher are due to open soon. The company plans to use external funding to add further locations across the South and expand nationally. Management expects the expansion to create a further 1,000 jobs nationally over the next four years.
