Gilbert Technologies, an Eindhoven-based spin-off from Delft University of Technology, develops medical inhalation devices using electrospray/electrohydrodynamic atomisation (EHDA) technology. Its core product roadmap centers on an adaptable EHDA drug-delivery platform integrated into a smart handheld precision inhaler. The company targets regional lung deposition for pulmonary administration across indications including cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, lung cancer, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Antibiotic therapy for cystic fibrosis is its top priority for initial drug-device combinations. Gilbert is working with biopharmaceutical partners to advance anti-infective, biological, and oncological therapies using its platform. Management says the company aims to move from clinical-stage toward commercial-stage while reducing treatment burden on healthcare systems.
