Founded in 2013 by Christopher Strauch, GlassesGroupGlobal operates online eyewear sites including GlassesOnline, GetGlasses, Glasses, and Glasses&Co. The company offers roughly 20,000 prescription glasses, contact lenses, and designer sunglasses from about 150 brands. It runs online shops in 14 markets, mainly across the Asia‑Pacific region (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand) and is making inroads into Europe. GlassesGroupGlobal has offices in Kuala Lumpur and Berlin and employs about 75 people. The startup has raised $3 million in a recently closed Series A and $4.5 million in total to date. Management declined to disclose sales metrics but says the business is seeing strong growth across its markets and plans further expansion across Asia and Europe.
