Global Kinetics develops the Parkinson’s KinetiGraph, an FDA-cleared smartwatch-style wearable that passively collects movement data and generates scores for bradykinesia, dyskinesia and tremor. The device is worn for seven days and then returned to clinicians for data download to inform treatment decisions. The company emphasizes passive continuous monitoring with patient compliance above 95 percent and is targeting neurologists as primary users. Global Kinetics is developing a new always-on, user-chargeable model to provide clinicians a continual feed of symptom data for more personalized treatment. The firm has focused its U.S. rollout on influential clinics since FDA clearance two years ago and is pursuing reimbursement; 30 U.S. clinics currently use the device in routine care. It is also participating in clinical validation work, including a 400-person Parkinson’s Foundation Outcomes Project study and a University of Melbourne study reporting substantial impact on treatment recommendations.
