Overview
Global Processing Services (GPS) provides an API-first payments and embedded finance platform used by fintechs and banks to issue cards and process transactions. The company has processed roughly 1.3 billion transactions since 2007 and has issued about 190 million physical and virtual cards, integrated with some 95 issuer partners. GPS serves customers in 48 countries, including Revolut, Curve, Starling Bank, Zilch, WeLab Bank and Paidy. The platform is cloud-native and is positioned to help customers scale internationally through a single API. GPS plans to use new funding to expand its platform capabilities and accelerate geographic expansion, particularly into additional markets in Asia Pacific and the Middle East where it has already made inroads. Visa, which made a strategic investment in October 2020, remains involved with the company. Global Processing Services (GPS) is a leading payments issuer processor providing a highly flexible, configurable platform for fintechs, digital banks and e-wallets. Its platform enables hyper-personalised user experiences and is certified by Visa and Mastercard to process credit, debit and prepaid card transactions. GPS has integrated with more than 40 issuing banks and operates programmes for 180+ clients in 60 countries, using over 150 currencies. Founded in 2007, the company has offices in London, Newcastle, Singapore and Sydney. GPS has expanded across Europe and APAC, delivering programmes for clients including Revolut, Starling Bank, Xinja and WeLab Bank, and was selected as a preferred issuer processor for Visa’s APAC Fintech Fastrack programme. The company says it will use a new strategic partnership with Visa, backed by UK growth private equity firm Dunedin, to accelerate global expansion and replicate its European and APAC accomplishments in other regions.
