Overview
Gloo operates a technology platform that connects the faith ecosystem through free and premium ministry tools and a Discover marketplace. The platform serves over 70,000 churches and more than 1,000 resource partners. The company closed a $110M strategic growth financing and intends to use the funds to accelerate platform development. Plans include expanding the Discover marketplace to broaden free and premium products and services for ministry leaders. Earlier this year Gloo launched Gloo Ventures, a division focused on investments in and acquisitions of organizations that add value to the faith community, including AI-based tools to help church leaders responsibly leverage the technology. Gloo is based in Boulder, CO. Gloo Holdings builds software apps that help churches connect with their congregations using data and analytics. It creates custom outreach campaigns to help churches find new members and provides a platform for people to post prayer requests that are routed to churches that can meet those needs. Gloo runs a program that lets churches pool funds to buy Google search keywords so search results include ads linking to Gloo-created pages. According to a December 2021 Wall Street Journal article, Gloo maintains data profiles for about 245 million people in the U.S. Financially, the company reported a $41.5 million debt raise in a Form D filing with the SEC. Gloo was founded in 2012, and representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
