Glyphic Biotechnologies

169 Madison Ave, #2216, New York, NY, 10016, United States

Overview

Glyphic Biotechnologies developed ClickP, a chemistry that detaches and tethers target amino acids to enable high-confidence single-molecule identification, paired with microscopy similar to DNA sequencers. The approach aims to increase throughput from tens of thousands to millions or more proteins per week and to reduce interference-related errors common in current sequencing methods. Co‑founders Joshua Yang (CEO) and Daniel Estandian (CTO) developed the work in the lab of MIT’s Ed Boyden, who is listed as scientific founder. Initially Glyphic will operate as a sample-processing service; its roadmap calls for selling hardware and support into other labs as it scales. The company must engineer binders for all 20 amino acids (ClickP and a subset of binders exist today), which is driving its near-term development work. Glyphic is based at Bakar Labs in Berkeley while it readies chemical engineering and platform expansion.
