GNRC Guwahati is developing a 1,000‑bed super-speciality hospital at Amingaon in north Guwahati, with phased expansion beginning with a planned 300‑bed first phase. The group currently operates an outpatient clinic on the site (opened October last year) where around 10 doctors treat 40–50 patients daily; an inpatient department is planned within two to three months. The overall project cost, including later modernisation and expansion, is currently estimated at nearly Rs 92 crore. The hospital will be built on an 80‑bigha plot in the Amingaon‑Gauripur area and is being designed as a green, energy‑efficient building using local materials such as bamboo. Planned clinical capabilities include PET scan, MRI, cath lab and CT scan. Management states the objective is to maintain quality while reducing costs and increasing patient footfall.
