GoCar operates a vehicle-sharing service that lets customers access shared cars across towns and cities in Ireland. The company is deploying a €10 million investment to expand and upgrade its fleet and service footprint nationwide. The funding will add 280 new vehicles across 149 locations and support growth from 930 vehicles (July 2023) to more than 1,100 vehicles in over 600 locations across 24 counties by the end of 2023. GoCar is introducing new vehicle types, including the smaller city-focused 'GoLocal' and the family-oriented 'GoExplore Plus'. It plans a new website and app to improve customer experience and will launch a loyalty programme for repeat users in late 2023. The company has signalled further expansion of its 'GoElectric' electric-vehicle range through partnerships in 2024. GoCar was founded in 2008 and emphasizes sustainable, community-led mobility solutions.
