Golioth is a commercial IoT development platform that helps engineers build secure, flexible IoT infrastructure and connect devices to move from prototype to production quickly. It announced open access to a library of new reference designs for embedded engineers and launched a Select Partner Program targeting energy and construction developers. Golioth raised $4.6M in a seed round co-led by Blackhorn Ventures and Differential Ventures, with participation from Zetta Venture Partners, MongoDB Ventures, and Lorimer Ventures. The company has now raised $7.1M in total and intends to use the new capital to expand operations and broaden its business reach. Golioth offers a cloud platform that lets hardware developers build end-to-end IoT-connected products using their choice of hardware and connectivity without needing a dedicated cloud engineering team. Golioth announced a private beta of its first Device SDK, which is built on The Zephyr Project RTOS; Golioth Cloud will be free for beta testers.
