GoodDot is an Indian plant-based meat-alternative company producing shelf-stable ready meals designed to mimic mutton and chicken. Its products use a blend of pea protein, wheat gluten, soy protein and flour to achieve a meat-like taste and can be used as replacements for mutton or chicken. The ready meals do not require refrigeration and have a one-year shelf life. GoodDot currently sells 10,000–15,000 plant-based ready meals per day and operates ten outlets in India. The company plans further expansion, including opening at least 30 food trucks across the country. To fund growth it has raised sums from individual investors and $200,000 from New Crop Capital; Bruce Friedrich of the Good Food Institute serves as an advisor.
