GoodBuy Gear operates an online resale marketplace for baby and kid gear that enables parents, brands and retailers to safely and sustainably recirculate quality-used products. It offers white-glove selling services in Denver, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City (and surrounding metro areas), and provides nationwide shopping and shipping. Led by CEO and co-founder Kristin Langenfeld and founded in 2016, the company has sold over 270,000 secondhand items and helped more than 12,000 families resell their items to date. In the first months of 2023 GoodBuy Gear expanded to sell pre-owned, quality-inspected car seats and doubled its base of brand and retail partners. The company raised $14M in funding to further scale its online marketplace and solidify its market position. Carl Sparks of Interlock Partners joined the company's board in conjunction with the financing. Good Buy Gear operates a recommerce marketplace for second‑hand and open‑box baby and children’s items, picking up sellers’ goods, performing quality checks, cleaning and listing them for resale. The company ships nationwide and offers local delivery in Denver and Dallas. Founded in 2016, it has grown rapidly (about four times since March) and has an 11-person workforce with plans to add five hires. Good Buy Gear has raised $8 million to date, including a $6 million Series A and prior $2.8 million in seed funding. The new capital will fund product evolution, strategic partnerships, and market expansion to provide pickup and delivery beyond Denver and Dallas. The company is pursuing partnerships with large retailers to access returns and open‑box inventory and is working with partners to improve sustainability and reduce waste. Good Buy Gear operates an online marketplace and consignment service for previously owned baby and kids’ products, including strollers, furniture and toys. The company manages the full transaction from pickup to payout, allowing parents to avoid consignment stores or meet-ups with strangers. It currently serves the Boulder and Denver metro areas and offers nationwide shipping on many items. Led by CEO Kristin Langenfeld and COO Jessica Crothers, Good Buy Gear secured seed financing to support growth. The company plans to use the funds to expand to more cities throughout the U.S. The financing reflects early-stage capital to accelerate its geographic expansion.
