Overview
GoodBytz is a Hamburg-based food-tech company building robotic sous-chefs designed for B2B settings such as delivery kitchens, public infrastructure and workplace catering. The system breaks every cooking step into modules that can be arranged in various configurations and programmed through a simple UI, allowing customers to upload their own recipes. By using standard professional kitchen equipment rather than custom hardware, the robots are quick to install and familiar to chefs, while enabling healthier, largely plant-based menus. Beyond cooking, the firm intends to integrate inventory management, POS and delivery software to create a fully digital kitchen ecosystem that reduces food waste and improves profitability. GoodBytz was initially bootstrapped and supported by a grant from the IFB Hamburg InnoFounder Program, which funded its first prototype in three months. In its first institutional financing, the startup secured €2.5 million in seed capital from Oyster Bay Venture Capital to advance product development and run market pilots. The immediate roadmap includes operating its own delivery concept in Hamburg before rolling the robots out with external B2B customers.
