Goodfood is a Montreal-based dinner subscription service that uses an in-house culinary team to create weekly menus delivered in refrigerated packages with cooking instructions. Users set dietary preferences and selections are delivered weekly for free; meals can be prepared in about 30 minutes. The company has partnered with local schools and charities and pledged to donate one meal to a child for every box purchased, expecting to deliver an estimated 75,000 donated meals in 2016. In the past year Goodfood grew to 50 employees and served over 150,000 meals in Ontario and Quebec. CEO Jonathan Ferrari emphasized the social mission that every child should have access to nutritious and tasty meals.
