GoodNews Coffee
Vía Layetana 45, Barcelona, Catalonia, 08003, Spain
Overview
GoodNews was founded in Barcelona in 2020 by five friends: Jan Barthe, Fernando Conde, Alejandro Catasús, Lucas de Gispert and Ignacio Campos. The company builds coffee-meets-newsstand kiosks and a subscription e-commerce service, and also sells coffee machines. It operates three business verticals: retail (kiosks and stores in major European cities), e-commerce (coffee sales and subscriptions) and a B2B service for SMEs and companies. The platform has grown to a network of 21 Grab & Go spaces across Barcelona, Madrid and Paris and has recently opened three new spaces in Madrid and Barcelona. GoodNews has raised €11 million to develop its kiosks and subscription services, with funding led by Thomas Meyer through La Vida es Chula and by Barlon Capital (led by Javier Rubió). The company plans to expand into new cities across Europe and positions itself to lead a shift toward coffee and healthy beverages that add value to human health.
