Goodservice is a Delhi-based personal concierge app that lets users request local services via its Android app, website, WhatsApp, or voice calls. Launched two weeks before the article, the company draws recommendations from a proprietary database tracking 18,000 providers across 300 categories in six cities, including Delhi and Gurgaon. Goodservice says it will never turn down "any legal request" and aims to act as a personal assistant that books vendors, ensures timely arrival, verifies job quality, and keeps backups if needed. The startup plans an iOS app and will expand into additional regions over the next few weeks. Goodservice raised $1.6 million in seed funding from Sequoia Capital and will use the capital to grow its engineering and operations teams. It positions itself against fragmented local-services marketplaces and competitors such as UrbanClap and LocalOye.
