GoodsMart is a mobile app-based grocery delivery network that launched in 2014 and serves users in West Cairo. The company installs a GoodsMart delivery box at customers' homes, enabling contactless delivery: customers order via the app and receive items between midnight and 6 a.m. GoodsMart offers recurring orders and fulfills customer requests by working with a range of vendors. It also partners with real estate developers to place delivery boxes across residential communities. The company sells groceries, medicines, and other items through this network. GoodsMart intends to use the new capital to expand operations and hire additional employees. GoodsMart operates a household shopping app that also provides payments and delivery services to residential complexes. The company was founded in 2014 by Amr Fawzi and Ahmed Sudan and is based in Cairo. GoodsMart says it has grown its business three-fold in the last six months and currently services around 100 residential complexes in Cairo. The startup plans to use new funding to further scale the business, upgrade warehouse facilities, expand its team, and improve operational capabilities. Algebra Ventures is the startup’s main investor and has continued to back the company after its initial investment. GoodsMart is preparing for a Series B raise.
