GoTo Global

20 Lincoln St., Tel Aviv, Israel

Overview

GoTo Global operates a technology-driven platform that enables users to reserve and access cars, mopeds, scooters and bikes through a single app. The company currently operates in Israel, Germany, Spain and Malta and reports a fleet of 5,800 vehicles. To date GoTo’s services have been used by over 450,000 users for nearly 3 million rides. The company reported $22 million in revenues in 2021. GoTo acquired German moped-sharing company Emmy (over 300,000 users and 3,000 mopeds) and, following a planned merger with NeraTech Media, intends to expand its multimodal offering in German cities by adding cars and micromobility and increasing B2B activity. Founded in 2008 in Israel, GoTo positions itself as a provider of diverse shared mobility solutions backed by proprietary technology. GoTo Global (also referred to as GoTo Mobility) operates shared mobility services across cars, mopeds, bicycles and electric scooters. The company began in 2008 with an initial focus on car sharing and previously raised $3 million in seed funding. It currently operates in Israel and Malta and plans to expand into Europe, beginning with Madrid. Management says shared services have recovered to +12% above the pre-lockdown baseline. The business has converted a prior $9 million loan from Shagrir into equity and is pursuing growth funded by the new round. The company intends to use the latest capital to support its European expansion and broader shared-services rollout.
