Gouach designs, develops and manufactures a solderless, repairable battery specifically for e-bikes, e-scooters and small electric vehicles. The company says its batteries can be repaired in under 10 minutes and are intended to address planned obsolescence in micro-mobility power supplies. An independent study by consultancy Magelan found Gouach’s offering emitted 2.6x less CO2 and consumed 2.5x less water while retaining the same efficiency as conventional batteries. Gouach is conducting an 18-month R&D project with shared micro-mobility platform Pony and has received “very enthusiastic” feedback. The company highlights a patented, smart and repairable design and positions itself to reduce costs and carbon footprint for micro-mobility manufacturers.
