Overview

Founded in 2020 in Munich by Sascha Soyk (CEO) and Daniel Faber (CTO), GovRadar offers a cloud-based, AI-driven procurement platform that lets public authorities create tender documents with just a few clicks instead of through months-long manual processes. The software functions like an online shop, enabling staff to precisely define required goods and instantly see how many bids are likely to be received, all while ensuring legally compliant, product-neutral specifications. Today the platform serves roughly 70 public customers, including Germany’s Federal Ministry of the Interior, universities, municipal bodies and state IT service providers, and currently supports categories such as IT equipment, vehicles and furniture. A robust product database ensures equality of treatment among suppliers, and discussions are underway with the Bundeswehr and other agencies to extend coverage to defence and security procurement. GovRadar plans to evolve from a pure SaaS tool to a Europe-wide marketplace that directly connects suppliers and buyers, simplifying bid submission and opening public tenders to smaller vendors lacking dedicated public-sector sales teams. The company sees a €34 billion annual cost burden in EU public procurement processes and aims to capture this optimisation potential through further automation. Following a pre-seed round, GovRadar has now raised €1 million in seed capital to expand its platform content, onboard new product categories and grow its European footprint.
