Gravity builds a collaborative filtering–based recommendation engine that integrates with IPTV, cable TV, e-commerce and e-media platforms to tailor product and content suggestions to individual users. The company reports more than 50 customers and partners spread across 12 countries on four continents, including an Alexa Top-50 website. Headquartered in Budapest, Gravity recently opened a New York City office and plans to deepen its footprint in the United States and Asia using newly secured capital. Its 40-person team maintains representatives throughout major European markets such as Germany, the U.K., France, Poland and the Benelux region, as well as in emerging markets like Russia and Turkey. Previous funding of close to $1 million helped establish this international presence.
