Gravy is a St. Louis-based mobile app that helps renters become homeowners by enabling them to save for a down payment, earn rewards toward a future home purchase, learn about the homebuying process, and connect with agents and lenders. The app launched out of beta alongside a $2.6M seed funding round. Founded in 2021 by Jeff Dinter, Will Dunn, and Jimmy Lien, Gravy’s flagship feature, Gravy Rewards, is a loyalty program where members earn money toward their future home purchase. When members are ready to buy, they connect with the company’s national network of real estate agents and lenders who specialize in first-time homebuyers. Gravy partners with agents and lenders at some of the most recognized national names in real estate, and the app is available nationwide for all renters. Financial backers in the seed round were not disclosed.
