Overview
Green Energy Park is a vertically integrated renewable energy franchise that builds renewable hydrogen production plants and integrated port terminal facilities. Founded in 2023 and based in Sao Paulo, the company is led by CEO Bart Biebuyck and shares know-how, technologies, and best practices among global partners. Its first project, Green Energy Park Piaui, has obtained long-term rights to port terminal facilities in Luis Correia and targets 10.8 GW of electrolyzer capacity when fully built. GEP will distribute green fuels and hydrogen derivatives to offtakers in industry and transport, aiming to help decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors. The integrated hydrogen and derivatives facilities use advanced process engineering designs drawn from the liquified natural gas and ammonia businesses. The company raised USD30M in an initial equity funding round; backers were not disclosed.
