It holds a letter of intent to lease a 98-acre parcel of Indigenous agricultural land and has leased a commercial greenhouse in the White Lake area to cultivate industrial hemp for CBD extraction and R&D. Green Mountain emphasizes Indigenous partnerships and social responsibility, engaging Health Canada’s Indigenous Navigator Service and being identified as an Indigenous-associated license applicant. The company plans job creation, skills training, cannabis education, and eventual facility development in Manitoba to expand cultivation opportunities for Indigenous peoples. Financially, Green Mountain has received external investments totaling $1.3 million to date.
