GreenFingers Mobile provides a Software-as-a-Service Android app that delivers management and finance tools to smallholder farmers. The platform is used by over 5,000 smallholder farmers across three African countries. The company was established in 2015 as a partnership between Impact Amplifier and mobile-first technology company Mobenzi. Its software has moved out of beta after multi-season field testing that faced challenges deploying devices and troubleshooting software, network, device, and cloud hosting issues. GreenFingers replaces paper-based management systems with real-time mobile solutions to bring transparency to supply chains and enable financing and management of emerging farmers. The company plans to use new capital to grow in additional countries, build development and support capability, and expand product features to reach the rest of the continent.
