GreenStack, founded in early 2012 by serial entrepreneur David Hehman (CEO), builds mobile apps aimed at making saving money fun and easy. The company launched its free, location-based iPhone app at TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2012, targeting location-based discount redemption for dining in the San Francisco region. Its patent-pending technology enables “stacking” in the deals marketplace by instantly combining coupons, sales, loyalty and membership benefits for on-the-spot redemption. GreenStack plans national deployment and expansion into shopping and entertainment in upcoming releases. Financially, the company has completed a $600K seed fundraising round; the backers were not disclosed.
