Greta has developed a one-line JavaScript that analyzes site traffic in real time and chooses the most efficient delivery route for content—either via traditional servers/CDNs or Greta’s browser-based peer-to-peer solution. The peer-to-peer layer uses WebRTC to enable content sharing directly in users’ browsers without additional software, aiming to reduce buffering and crashes during traffic spikes. Within hours of installation Greta begins suggesting site-specific actions, such as switching CDNs regionally or enabling its P2P mode, to improve performance. The company positions this approach as a way to avoid the need for physical CDN infrastructure expansion, targeting regions with limited CDN presence like Africa and the Middle East. Greta launched late last year and is targeting disruption of the multi-billion dollar CDN market while optimizing end-user experience for heavy-traffic events and campaigns.
