GridX also appointed Chris Black as CEO to lead growth and speed the clean energy transition. The company recently closed a $40 million Series C to fund these efforts. GridX delivers a cloud-based Business Operations Support (BOS) Cloud suite of turnkey applications for utilities, retail energy suppliers and community choice aggregators. Its BOS Cloud enables clients to develop new products and business models (including community solar, time-of-use rates and real-time pricing), understand revenue and bill impacts, revamp billing and meter-to-cash processes, and target customers for broader program adoption. The platform also helps customers understand financial implications of their energy use and delivers personalized energy-saving advice. GridX lists partnerships with Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison, PSEG Long Island, Consumers Energy and Central Coast Community Energy. The company reports its BOS Cloud is used to serve more than 17 million homes and businesses. GridX says it will use new funding to accelerate its product roadmap, drive market adoption and significantly expand its capabilities to support the clean energy transition.
