GrowGeneration operates specialty retail hydroponic and organic gardening stores selling thousands of products, including organic nutrients and soils, advanced lighting technology and hydroponic equipment for commercial and home growers. The company reports 17 stores across Colorado, California, Michigan, Nevada, Rhode Island and Washington. Management states its mission is to own and operate GrowGeneration-branded stores in all major legalized cannabis states and notes roughly 1,000 hydroponic stores currently operate in the U.S. The company cites New Frontier Data projections that the cannabis market could reach over $23 billion by 2020. GrowGeneration said the new capital increases its cash on the balance sheet to over $17 million and will be used to execute multiple acquisitions. Several acquisitions were planned to close in the second and third quarters of 2018.
