GrowLab Pharmaceuticals, established in 1983, researches, develops and manufactures proprietary DNA-specific phytocannabinoid-derived therapies in accordance with European Medicines Agency cGMP requirements. Its lead therapies, Comacadine® and Grolatine®, have been scientifically curated, synthesized and undergone clinical trials over the past six years for indications including diabetes, prostate cancer, sickle cell disease, glaucoma and arthritis. The company plans to construct three biopharmaceutical campuses on three continents, each with commercial production capacity of approximately 25 million units per year of its therapies. GrowLab says it intends to release a minimum of two proprietary DNA-specific phytocannabinoid therapies per year over a five-year period beginning in 2024. A $210 million capital commitment from Gem Global Yield LLC SCS (part of Global Emerging Markets) is intended to fast-track these growth plans and support the company’s aim to become publicly listed and fully funded. Management states proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and campus construction, and that they target control of production costs and positive cash flow in the first year of commercial operations.
