Grupalia
Mariano Escobedo 568, Mexico City, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico
Overview
Grupalia is positioning itself as a neobank for microbusinesses in Mexico and has launched a digital group loan as its first proprietary product. That product has already reached more than 40,000 local businesses. The company was founded by Roger Rea (CEO), formerly CEO & co-founder of Mexican fintech Atrato, and Ramón Echeverría (CTO), formerly a software engineer at Platanus Ventures. Grupalia publicly came out of stealth six months ago after operating previously under the radar. The team comprises more than 20 people, and the company is aiming for $10M in annualized revenue. Its recent fundraising (a $7.7M Seed following a $4.8M Pre-Seed) is intended to accelerate its path toward becoming a neobank for micronegocios.
