Overview
Gryphon Digital Mining operates Bitcoin mining infrastructure with a stated goal of a wholly-owned, 100% renewable energy supply and a zero carbon footprint. The company uses a hosting structure to minimize capital investment and has partnered with one of the largest digital currency data centers to access low electricity costs (as low as $0.013/kWh) and liquid immersion technology. At launch Gryphon will deploy 730 PH/s of processing power with a roadmap to exceed 2,000 PH/s by the end of 2021. Management highlights include CEO and Co‑Founder Rob Chang and Founder & President Dan Tolhurst; the board includes Brittany Kaiser and former Nasdaq vice chairman Bruce Aust. Gryphon says it has strong relationships with equipment manufacturers and suppliers and plans to expand beyond hydroelectric power to other renewables such as nuclear, wind, and solar. The company recently completed a significant Series A that will fund its launch and expansion plans.
