The service aims to modernise and digitise the funeral and end-of-life sector and the team says it speaks to funeral directors daily about creating support hubs for clients. The company was conceived in 2017 by Sam Grice after the unexpected death of his mother, which exposed gaps in the end-of-life process. Guardian Angel closed a pre-seed round raising around €570K and plans to use the funds to improve its digital platform and develop a tool to make planning for the inevitable easier.
