GuestU builds white-label pocket concierge mobile apps for iOS and Android that enable hotels, guesthouses, short-term rentals and hostels to create and customize their own concierge service. The apps use personalization algorithms and deliver tailored, original content produced by a team of editors and journalists. Launched in 2015 by travel entrepreneur Euclides Major, the company operates from Lisbon and London and has over 20 employees. GuestU reports more than 200 customers across 14 countries, including The Taj in London, Queens Gate Hotel and Feels Like Home apartment rentals. The company raised $1.1M in seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to invest in product development and expand its customer base globally.
