Guidepost, run by Sancreed, offers a platform for highly personalised, data-driven diabetes management at scale that combines a network of diabetes coaches with clinical technology and biometric inputs. The service uses VoIP-enabled coaches to guide patients on medication timing, diet, medication choices and psychological support. Guidepost reports clinical improvements within four to six months and a 45% reduction in diabetes complications risk across its more than 8,000 patients. The company works with insurers and partners including Outsurance, CAMAF and Novo Nordisk, and has collaborated with Swiss Re on underwriting programmes for diabetic lives. With the new investment from AlphaCode/RMI, Guidepost plans to recruit key executives, further develop its differentiated clinical technology and scale the business locally and globally with insurance partners. The platform is positioned to help insurers better manage costly diabetes risk while supporting improved patient health.
