GuRu Wireless (formerly Auspion) develops room-scale, multi-watt, multi-device millimeter-wave (mmWave) systems to deliver electric power through the air. Its products are intended to provide safe wireless power‑at‑a‑distance for business and consumer use, eliminating wires and batteries. The company’s technology is based on work by Professor Ali Hajimiri at Caltech and was further developed by co-founders Florian Bohn and Behrooz Abiri. Founded in 2017, GuRu operated in stealth while iterating multiple generations of its RF systems to increase integration and power.
