Overview
Guyot Énergies is the energy-transition subsidiary of the Finistère-based Guyot group, which employs 600 people and generates €300 million in revenue from waste collection and recovery activities. The unit designs, installs and operates industrial boilers that run on low-carbon biomass or recovered waste, turning non-recyclable local refuse into process heat for factories. Its first biomass boiler began supplying the Laïta dairy in Créhen in April, and a second plant is under construction in Brest for Bunge. Management plans to double the number of such energy-production infrastructures by 2030, with growth focused on France and, following two recent site acquisitions, Spain. Future development includes adding biogenic CO₂ capture on its boilers to manufacture renewable fuels, completing a circular-economy loop. By pairing waste management with on-site energy generation, the company aims to help industry meet France’s 2050 carbon-neutrality target while creating local jobs.
